Reagan Burial Site and Memorial
After President Reagan passed in 2004, he was buried at the Reagan Library. In his honor, a Memorial was placed over his grave. On the granite sculpture is the quote from Reagan himself, "I know in my heart that man is good, that what is right will always eventually triumph and there is purpose and worth to each and every life." While this moving quote and the beautiful garden around it are worth a visit any time of year, on February 6th every year they take on a whole new meaning. February 6th was President Reagan's birthday and on that day there is a ceremony at his grave site complete with a military band and a 21-gun salute. This annual celebration is open to the public and free of cost.

Air Force One
The Reagan Presidential Library is also the home of the Air Force One jet that took him over 660,000 miles around the world during his time in office. You can step aboard this magnificent plane and see how Reagan lived while he was traveling the world focusing on face-to-face diplomacy. The Air Force One Jet located at the Presidential Library served seven U.S. Presidents from Nixon to George W. Bush. Nearby you can check out a helicopter that flew President Johnson, Reagan's Presidential limos and secret service suburbans, and even a mural depicting all of the aircrafts that have flown any of the Presidents.
Reagan Museum
The Reagan Museum is full of artifacts from President Ronald Reagan's life. It includes many interactive exhibits that show what life was like in the White House during his time there. You will be able to learn all about his economic policies, read his handwritten diary, set the table for a state dinner at the White House, and so much more. Newly remodeled, the Reagan Museum is full of history, learning, and the patriotic spirit of President Reagan. There is even a replica of the Oval Office from the White House. If you look closely at the desk, you will notice how President Reagan added a 2-inch base to it he could sit comfortably at the desk without hitting his knee on the drawers at the top. Apparently 6'2" was too tall to sit there comfortably.
Stop by the Reagan Presidential Library and Museum just a short 4.5 miles away from Alexander GMC of Simi Valley and learn more about our 40th President. Maybe drop your car off for an oil change and spend the time waiting at the Museum using our courtesy shuttle instead of in our waiting room. Thanks for choosing Alexander GMC of Simi Valley.
